- My grandfather was nicknamed Frugie (for frugal). My grandmother's depression days defined her housekeeping. My practical mother made do without a lot of money - and taught us the difference between NEED and WANT and hates anything with too many parts to wash. Believe it or not, seeding peppers for jalapeno poppers is actually a hard task. if you use a knife it usually tears through the side or hacks up the inside. I'm not sure this thing in any better but I would try it out to see if it makes the job any easier!
